Full video highlights and race report from the Snowshoe GNCC round eight of the series which saw Kailub Russell get his fifth win of the season but not without a fight from Steward Baylor.

Kailub Russell had another hard-fought win at the eight round of the 2019 GNCC series with Steward Baylor and Ricky Russell completing the podium in XC1 Pro and a flying Ben Kelley grabbed the XC2 win and came home third on the road.

Kailub Russell got the holeshot but it was Ricky Russell who lead the field for the first half of the race with Kailub, Baylor and Kelley close by. At the halfway part of the race Baylor took the lead and the battle for the win began.

Baylor had it in the bag leading the last lap but a lapper on one of the final climbs allowed Kailub by to secure the win. Ricky Russell got fourth overall which was enough for him to get the last podium spot on the XC1 Pro class.

Championship overall second placed rider, Thad Duvall was forced to pull out of the race when he punctured the radiator in the middle of the forest.

Ben Kelley continues his dominance in XC2 Pro

Having won every round to date, Ben Kelley is all set for XC2 Pro title as it looks like no-one can match his performances this season. Snowshoe also saw Kelley secure his second overall podium result of the series, showing everyone that he has what it takes to fight with the big boys. Craig Delong and Liam Draper joined him on the XC2 podium but finished six minutes behind.
