Team Races to Places VLOG episode nine direct from stage four of the 2020 Africa Eco Race where Lyndon Poskitt takes his maiden rally stage win.
Focusing on stage four, which took riders from Assa to Sidi Laroussi, episode nine of the Team Rces To Places Vlog at Africa Eco Race 2020 sees Lyndon Poskitt bag his first ever rally stage win.
After easing off the gas a bit on stage three Lyndon Poskitt found himself in the perfect spot to launch an attack on the following day. With tricky navigation and 385 kilometres to be covered Poskitt’s fifth place meant he had a good number of tracks to follow.
A navigation error by Pal Anders Ullevalseter and Alessandro Botturi 40 kilometres away from the finish line allowed Poskitt to catch up and from there on he followed the duo to bag the scratch of the day.
“I got lost 10 minutes looking for a WP and I thought I had thrown everything away but then I found them all lost – Botturi and Ullevalseter – and I managed to find the way first. From there on I kept it nice and steady to the finish,” said Poskitt.
“It was really rough in the rocks and that’s where I made most of my time. I had my navigation dialled today even if I got lost once so that also helped.”
