The 2019 International Six Days of Enduro adds the Vintage Veterans Trophy Team class to the FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy for this year’s event in Portugal.
With the 94th edition of the ISDE less than 60 days away and the Enduro Vintage Trophy set to have the strongest entry list to date, with nearly 150 riders, the FIM has appointed a new class, The Vintage Veterans Trophy Team.
As happens with the ISDE World Trophy, Junior Trophy and Women’s Trophy teams the respective national federations can appoint one team per country to race in this new Vintage class.
Each team must include three riders, who must be at least 50 years old, and must represent two of the classic categories of the Vintage Trophy, excluding the EVO86 category.
The team riders’ times will be added in the overall result and the best three teams will be awarded according to their accumulative rankings.
The FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy will kick off with a classic acceleration test midway through the ISDE week (November 11-16) with two days of enduro and a cross-country test to follow before being part of the final day’s motocross race.
Last year’s Vintage class was won by the German Swen Schiller with five of his compatriots following him in the overall, so dedicated Germany team could be the nation to watch in this year’s new Vintage Veterans Trophy Team class.
