As the 2019 International Six Days Enduro in Portimao, Portugal approaches the Finnish World Trophy and Junior Trophy teams have been announced and they’re full of young blood.
As we edge closer to the 94th ISDE, the Finnish Motorcycle Federation has announced which riders will fly their colours in Portimao, Portugal, on November 11 - 16.
After only sending a Junior Trophy team last year to Chile, the Finnish are back to full strength with World Trophy and Junior Trophy teams this year.
EnduroGP E2 2018 Champion, Eero Remes, will be guiding a World Trophy Team not short on talent and with plenty of young blood. Roni Kytönen, Junior E1 class leader in the European Enduro Championship and the rider who stopped Andrea Verona’s winning strike in the EnduroGP Junior class this season; Emil Pohjola, current over 250 4T class leader in European Enduro Championship; and Aleksi Jukola, the Finnish 2018 champion all stand good chances of repeating that podium result they got in 2017.
It is the same story for the Junior Trophy Team which shows up ready to rumble with Antti Hanninen, currently second in the EnduroGP Junior E1 class; Hugo Svard, fourth in the EnduroGP Youth 125cc class; and Lari Jukola, former Finnish enduro champion all ready to turn the tables on last year’s eight place result.
