International events and land issues force further date changes to 2019 ACU British Enduro Championship calendar – WESS round at Hawkstone Park no longer clashes with Natterjack Enduro.
The minefield that is organising national level competition to fit around international dates, plus land issues with the Natterjack Enduro venue, has forced further date changes to the British Enduro Championship in 2019.
The positive outcome for British riders is the September 21-22 weekend, which did see a clash between the Natterjack and Hawkstone Park World Enduro Super Series event, no longer clash. That leaves a stronger entry possible open to compete at both Hawkstone and take on the WESS round plus obviously means BEC riders are free to concentrate on that championship.
Similarly the hugely popular Trefle Lozerien classic enduro no longer sits on the same date as the Dirt Bike Action BEC round in May 18-19, which moves to the following weekend.
The ACU statement says:
Alterations to Championship dates are avoided wherever possible, however due to issues outside of the ACU and the organisers control; i.e. late changes with International dates and Army land problems these have forced the following amendments:
Dirtbike Action BEC round scheduled for May 18-19 moves to May 25-26
Natterjack BEC round scheduled for Sept 21-22 moves to October 5-6
NB due to the need for the Natterjack to relocate, the sidecar classes cannot be accommodated on the new course, and organisers therefore have dropped a sidecar championship round.
